Business Impact Analysis & Assessment (BIANow)

Contingency Now’s Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is more than just an analysis.  Our BIA tool analyzes and assesses a wide range of infrastructure components within and across your enterprises operations.  The intent is to identify those business technologies and connected processes that are the most financially and legally impacting to day-to-day operations.  Through identification and classification each business application and it’s dependent supporting system, an assessed score is calculated to help determine the most to least financially and/or legally impacting business technology upon your business revenues or legally required functions.

Business Continuity Plan (BCPNow)

Contingency Now’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) tool is more than just helping the enterprise recover technology.  Yes, every enterprise leverages some type of technology to support business metrics and customer deliverables.  However, technology alone is not the panacea to ensuring high information availability when you need it most.  An effective enterprise-wide recovery is dependent upon enabling technologies and business processes.  Full work group recovery is needed to ensure ongoing information availability and customer retention.  The BCPNow tool will help your business enterprise with recovering vital and/or critical business processes within the expected time frames of the customer.

Contingency Now’s BCPNow tool helps to ensure that your knowledge workers learn the what, where, when, why and how regarding the successful recovery of enterprise processes due to an unplanned business interruption event.  Each BCPNow Template comes with a detailed BCPNow User Guide.  The User Guide is a step-by-step guideline document that allows the risk management specialist to develop and implement an enterprise-wide recovery plan.

Disaster Recovery Plan (DRPNow)

Contingency Now’s Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) tool is an in-depth tool that will enable your Information Technology (IT) professionals to restore the enterprises technologies within the time period required by your customers or key suppliers.  Every enterprise in today’s marketplace has enabling technologies that support business processes.  Without the ongoing availability of these technologies (applications, systems, platforms, infrastructure) most enterprises would lose significant amounts of money due to excessive technology downtime.

The intent with Contingency Now’s DRPNow tool is to ensure the IT professional can replace and/or restore enterprise technologies within the shortest time possible while spending the least amount of money.  Any successful IT recovery is premised upon having the right knowledge in the hands of the right people during an unplanned business interruption event.  Contingency Now’s DRPNow tool helps to ensure your IT professionals will know what to do, when to do it and how to do it when recovering from the non-availability of technology within the enterprise.

As with Contingency Now’s BCPNow tool, the DRPNow tool helps to ensure that your knowledge workers learn the what, where, when, why and how regarding the successful technical recovery of the enterprise’s enabling technologies due to an unplanned business interruption event.  Each DRPNow Template comes with a detailed DRPNow User Guide.  The User Guide is a step-by-step guideline document that allows the IT professional to develop and implement an enterprise-wide technology recovery plan.

Tabletop & Functional Exercises (ExerciseNow)

Contingency Now’s Exercise planning tools are designed to support those business entities or government jurisdictions that desire to develop, implement and manage their own disaster recovery and/or business continuity exercises.

Industry wide there are three (3) different types of exercises; Tabletop, Functional and Full Scale.  Contingency Now’s exercise planning tools focus on the Tabletop and Functional exercise programs.  Due in part because these are the two most widely sought after exercise programs across business enterprises today.  Contingency Now has developed an eight (8) step process (A through H) for exercise planning, development, implementation and on-going management.  This process has been effectively leveraged by Contingency Now consultants to deliver exercise planning services to clients.

Tabletop Exercise

The Tabletop exercise documentation focuses on the learning aspects of contingency planning responsiveness.  The Tabletop exercise is more of a “facilitated” walk through process that helps familiarize employees, contractors and third party suppliers with implementing business continuity and/or disaster recovery plans.  The Tabletop exercise process supports a specific simulated emergency “event” or “incident” on a department or company – wide basis.  The Tabletop exercise is primarily used for on-going training purposes.

Functional Exercise

The Functional exercise documentation also focuses on the learning aspects of contingency planning responsiveness.  However, Contingency Now’s Functional exercise program focuses on a vital/critical business function which becomes “virtually” unavailable to business operations.  This function could be a business process or technological application.  Also, Contingency Now’s Functional exercise moves the attendees towards actually declaring a disaster within or against the business.  In this scenario the actual movement of assets and people can be implemented.  Functions relative to this exercise are normally taken directly from the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) or the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).  The Functional exercise is primarily used for learning how to manage a virtualized real time loss of vital/critical functions.
